DESCRIPTION:All area child care providers are welcome to attend the FREE Ch
 ild Care Provider Quarterly Professional Development Series. Attendees wil
 l receive 1.5 hours credit towards annual recertification requirements. At
 tendees will earn 1.5 hours of certification credit for their annual hours
  by attending this event. Free fingerprinting services will be available f
 rom 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. Speaker: Sarah Wasinger\, President/CEO of The Chamb
 er in Hays\, Kansas Topic: Child Care Provider Business Resources Objectiv
 es: 1. Understand the different types of business structures and which one
  is best for your business. 2. Identify types of insurance coverages and h
 ow they protect you and your business 3. Utilize direct support for childc
 are professionals offered by state and regional organizations. 4. Access l
 ocal resources that assist child care professionals. 5. Learn how to marke
 t your child care business. At the conclusion of the training\, attendees 
 will be able to interact with a variety of agencies that support child car
 e providers with an open resource fair. Agencies in attendance include: Ca
 reer and Professional Empowerment Portal (CAPE)\, Child Care Aware of Kans
 as\, Cottonwood Extension District Hays\, Kansas Childcare Training Opport
 unities (KCCTO)\, Early Childhood Connections\, Innovation Center\, Kansas
  Department of Health & Environment\, Kid Link\, and Sunshine Connections.
  There will also be a prize drawing for attendees that evening. This is a 
 wonderful opportunity for child care providers to connect with fellow prof
