DESCRIPTION:All area child care providers are welcome to attend the FREE Child Care Provider Quarterly Professional Development Series. Attendees will receive 1.5 hours credit towards annual recertification requirements.\n\n\n\nAttendees will earn 1.5 hours of certification credit for their annual hours by attending this event.\n\n\n\nFree fingerprinting services will be available from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Sarah Wasinger\, President/CEO of The Chamber in Hays\, Kansas\n\nTopic: Child Care Provider Business Resources\n\n    Objectives: \n\n     1. Understand the different types of business structures and which one is best for your business. \n\n     2. Identify types of insurance coverages and how they protect you and your business\n\n     3. Utilize direct support for childcare professionals offered by state and regional organizations. \n\n    4. Access local resources that assist child care professionals. \n\n    5. Learn how to market your child care business. \n\n\n\nAt the conclusion of the training\, attendees will be able to interact with a variety of agencies that support child care providers with an open resource fair. Agencies in attendance include: Career and Professional Empowerment Portal (CAPE)\, Child Care Aware of Kansas\, Cottonwood Extension District Hays\, Kansas Childcare Training Opportunities (KCCTO)\, Early Childhood Connections\, Innovation Center\, Kansas Department of Health & Environment\, Kid Link\, and Sunshine Connections.\n\n\n\nThere will also be a prize drawing for attendees that evening.
