Jeter Law Firm - Office Administrator

Jeter Turner Sook Baxter LLP seeks an office administrator for our Hays office.  The successful candidate must be organized; have strong interpersonal and communication skills; and must work well with team members in a professional setting.  Preferred skills include bookkeeping and accounts receivable and payables experience, billing, experience using QuickBooks, and proficiency with the use of spreadsheets. Other duties and responsibilities will vary depending on experience, but may include greeting and meeting with clients, updating and maintaining client files, closing transactions, transcribing dictation, updating and maintaining personnel files, handling mail and email, proofreading documents, formatting legal documents and correspondence, scheduling, and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.  We will train the right candidate.
At a minimum, candidates must have a high school diploma; computer word processing skills; experience using Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel; be comfortable using multi-line phone systems; and be willing to ask questions and learn.  Prior experience in accounting or in a law firm setting or judicial system is a plus.  Pay will be determined based upon experience and skillset.  Start date is flexible, but no later than June 1, 2023.
