Join the energetic, impactful, and fun team at The Chamber in Hays, Kansas!  We are currently seeking the perfect candidate to fill the role of Vice President of Membership! Be a part of the organization that positively impacts the businesses in Ellis County and western Kansas, while providing efforts to sustain quality of life for local residents, and build lasting relationships within the region.
 
Responsibilities and Areas of Impact Include:

• Enhance visibility of all chamber member businesses and organizations by maintaining accurate membership information within Chamber Master, The Chamber’s member management system,  and encouraging members to utilize benefits tied to their level of membership

• Recruit new members and put the power of The Chamber to work for them
• Communicate, connect, and develop relationships with existing chamber members, with a goal to reach out to all members annually as possible
• Maximize potential for members through effective communication of chamber driven advertising, including job postings, professional development opportunities, sponsorships for events, and programs like Leadership Hays and Dale Carnegie throughout the year
• Manage account receivables for members, including collections
• Collaborate with team members by organizing  and coordinating details for special events, programs and projects through utilization of Microsoft 365 software
• Give value back to members by scheduling events like Chamber Chats, Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, Grand Openings, Groundbreakings, and more
• Be a valued voice for The Chamber and its members by speaking and leading events
• Assist staff with maintaining Chamber Cheque program, greeting customers in person and over the phone, and other and other office procedures
• Maintain strong communication and organizational skills
• Champion for member businesses by organizing Business Connections section and newsletter flyers
