Ellis County Historical Society

The office and archives are once again located in downtown Hays and have regular hours of operation. The outbuilding are available to tour during those hours and by appointment. The temporary display of ''The Sternberg Firearm Collection'' is available in the limestone church gallery, however the main gallery is under renovations. There is no cost to view the displays.
The office also has a gift shop where you can find all the popular locally produced cookbooks in stock as well as t-shirts and other county or history novelties.
