About this event

Did you know that staying socially active could add up to five extra years of vibrant, independent life?

Please join the Cottonwood Extension District for an empowering program designed to show you exactly how friendship and community protect your brain.

Science tells us that chronic isolation can be as harmful to our bodies as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. But, on the bright side, highly active social lives can reduce the risk of dementia by nearly 40%.

Join us to discover:

  • Why staying connected can give you more independent years.
  • Simple, daily actions you can start today to build your brain's shield.
  • Plus, enjoy coffee and time to connect with others!

FREE for all to attend!

This event is part of the Ellis County Wellness Committee’s Santa’s Checklist Holiday Wellness Challenge, running October 15 through January 15.
