Administrative Assistant/Public Relations Coordinator

 
  • Must clear a thorough background check through Local, State, and National levels

  • Must have a clear driving record and own form of transportation

  • Basic understanding and familiarity with computers, technology, and social media platforms

  • No college degrees necessary but must be an effective communicator and possess self-presentation skills

  • 20-22 hours worked per week (This will become a full-time job as soon as self-providing)

  • $22/hr

  • 3 hours per week are expected to be in-office hours required unless an exemption is granted by the Executive Director on a case by case basis

  • Time card with details of activities each work day - turned in weekly

  • Travel mileage reimbursement

  • CASA provided laptop and printer with supplies and maintenance

  • CASA provided work cellular phone

 

Primary functions

 

1. Keep CASA financially on target through actively seeking donors and sponsors, fundraising,   grants, and allocation requests and compliance.

 

2. Public Relations/Promote the CASA Mission and effect recruiting through community outreach and networking.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 
  • Assistant may work from home and/or the CASA office. Assistant is expected to travel through the 4 counties of the 23rd Judicial District of Kansas. Must have own vehicle and will be recompensed for mileage as submitted.

  • Organize and help run fundraising activities with the assistance of the Executive Director and the Board members.

  • Responsible for ongoing compliance for all funds obtained through grants and follow up requirements.

  • Contribute to the social media updates and posts to keep public transparency and promote CASA

  • Report at monthly board meetings

  • Work with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to keep CASA financially secure.

  • Plan, organize, and lead or participate in public events to raise awareness for CASA and help with fundraising and recruitment.

  • Establish a quarterly report for publication on website and social media to keep the public informed of CASA work and to acknowledge all benefactors.

 

*Bonus is available for funds raised above the budget revenue expectation.

*Once able to work full-time a health plan reimbursement will be available.

*If main responsibilities are accomplished and there are still hours available from the hours allowed, assist the Executive Director in any requested areas.
