Laboratory Services Specialist

Part-Time (26–32 hours/week)

Monday–Thursday | 8:15 AM – 3:30 PM | No evenings or weekends

We're looking for a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Laboratory Services Specialist to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both patient interaction and behind-the-scenes coordination to ensure exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do

As our Laboratory Services Specialist, you'll play a key role in keeping patient care running smoothly by combining hands-on clinical work with laboratory coordination.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection
• Prepare, process, and ship laboratory specimens
• Coordinate specialty laboratory testing and outside lab services
• Monitor upcoming schedules to ensure required labs are completed before appointments
• Follow up with patients regarding laboratory testing and preparation
• Import and organize laboratory results within the electronic medical record
• Coordinate redraws, lab discrepancies, and communication with laboratory vendors
• Assist patients with lab orders, drop-ship testing kits, and laboratory questions
• Support clinical workflow through documentation, vitals, consent forms, and patient education
• Provide occasional front office support, including phones and patient check-in/out
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician or phlebotomy experience
• Strong computer and documentation skills

Compensation

$16–19/hour

Compensation is based on experience, certifications, and qualifications, with opportunities for performance incentives and commissions.
